As the latest presentation of 重要的声音：T.布恩·皮肯斯教育、创新和创业系列讲座, Goodwin College welcomes 玛侬·考克斯博士, president and CEO of 蛋白质科学公司, a Meriden-based company specializing in vaccine development and protein production. In a departure from its usual evening format, Goodwin has scheduled Dr. Cox’s lecture as a breakfast event on 8月12日星期三, in the College’s Community Room at 河滨道一号 in 东哈特福德. Networking and breakfast begin at 8点。 with the lecture running from 8:30 to 9:30.

Dr. Cox will focus primarily on Flublok®, the world’s first recombinant protein-based vaccine for the prevention of seasonal influenza disease. Flublok是唯一一种使用现代细胞培养技术在100%无蛋系统中制造的流感疫苗，因此在制造过程中无需使用传染性流感病毒或抗生素。
