After graduating from Windsor High, Nathaneal Wright, 19, enrolled in Goodwin’s 夏天桥 Academy, a program designed to bridge students seamlessly from high school to college.
Wright noted that Nicole Miller, a family friend and Goodwin’s 学生 Engagement Coordinator, highly recommended the program.
“I have transitional problems stemming from my ADHD,” Wright shared. “In the 夏天桥 program, I learned the difference between high school and college, and I was able to transition smoothly.”
Now enrolled in the 刑事司法 associate degree program, Wright already has plans to continue his education in Goodwin’s bachelor’s program in 公共安全. Many of Wright’s family members have served in the military and been on police forces, which is why he feels so drawn to this type of career.
Once Wright completes his bachelor’s degree, he intends to enlist in the Marines. “I plan on serving four years on active duty, then go into the police academy to become a police officer.”
Wright is making the most of his time at Goodwin as president of the Photography Club and a member of the 户外运动俱乐部. “I love collaborating with others,” he explains.
Wright has also taken advantage of the 学业成功中心 and 数学实验室 for extra help. “I struggled with math, but the tutors really helped me focus.”
