RN-to-BSN Bridge Program

RN-to-BSN program outcomes

Graduates of the RN-to-BSN program will demonstrate mastery of the AACN (2021) Competencies and level-1 Sub-competencies within the Ten Domains for Nursing across the Four Spheres of Care, leading to the achievement of the following learning outcomes

  1. Establish a basis for clinical judgment and innovation based on nursing knowledge, ways of knowing, and knowledge from other disciplines. Domain 1
  2. Provide person-centered and evidence-based nursing care emphasizing diversity, equity and inclusion. Domain 2, 4, 9
  3. Manage population health across settings in collaboration with diverse partners that leads to the improvement of equitable health outcomes. Domains 3, 6, 9, 10
  4. Demonstrate the application, translation, and implementation of best evidence into clinical practice, policy, and leadership. Domains 1, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10
  5. Demonstrate knowledge and use of established and emerging safety science principles in care delivery. Domains 1, 5, 7
  6. Demonstrate professional partnerships built on core professional nursing values in providing team-based, person-centered care. Domains 2, 6, 7, 9
  7. Apply knowledge of systems and evidence-based practice to provide safe, quality, and equitable care to diverse populations. Domains 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10
  8. Utilize informatics processes and technologies to provide safe and high-quality healthcare services in accordance with best practices. Domains 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10
  9. Cultivate a sustainable professional nursing identity that includes self-reflective practice, healthcare policy advocacy, accountability, collaborative disposition, and comportment that reflects nursing’s characteristics and values. Domains 6, 9, 10
  10. Demonstrate a capacity for leadership that includes a commitment to activities that foster personal health, resilience, lifelong learning, and active membership in the profession. Domains 9, 10

The RN-to-BSN curriculum can be completed part-time in 12 months or uniquely designed to meet the specific students’ needs.
