什么是独立学生？
独立学生符合特定的法律要求，有资格获得更多的联邦经济援助来支付大学费用。
Among many factors, independent students do not have access to their guardian’s financial resources. As a result, an independent student only needs to report their financial information (or their spouses, if married) on their Free 应用程序 for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) — not their guardians’ income and finances.

The Department of Education provides FAFSA applicants with 列出十个问题 to better help them determine their independent vs dependent status.
